HCTS was founded in January 2007 by Arjan Hooftman.

Arjan successfullly completed a BSc study at Hogeschool Utrecht in the area Industrial Automation and a one-year study in Business Administration at the well-known University of Nijenrode.

Arjan Hooftman has worked for over 10 years with electrical drives at one of the largest manufacturers. He held various positions, ranging from sales-support engineer to accountmanager large chemical accounts. In these positions Arjan gained vast experience in the application of electrical drives in (petro)chemical industry, drinking water production, sewage water treatment and food industries.
